Unemployment Compensation System

The department's information technology staff has been working to resolve the issue and expect that normal, online filing services will resume Tuesday morning (December 1) at 6 a.m. 

As a result of the internet problems, the Unemployment Compensation Call Centers and the Pennsylvania Automated Teleclaims (PATs) system received an abnormally high volume of calls from claimants who could not file via the internet. 

Individuals trying to contact the service center should do so after 5 p.m., when call volumes are lower.  The centers receive calls until 8:30 p.m. and can be reached at 1-888-313-7284. 

All continuing claims filed -- whether online or by telephone -- through Wednesday, December 2nd, will be paid by Friday, December 4th.
