Tax Relief

SB 593 - An Act amending the act of July 28, 1953 (P.L.723, No.230), known as the Second Class County Code, providing for an exemption from increases in school real property taxes for eligible taxpayers of school districts in counties of the second class because of the age, disability or marital status and income level of the taxpayers and for the reimbursement of those school districts by the Commonwealth; and prescribing penalties for fraudulent claims.

Transportation

SB 676 - An Act amending the act of April 9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175), known as The Administrative Code of 1929, establishing the Bureau of Toll Administration within the Department of Transportation; providing for the assumption by the Department of Transportation of the functions of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, for assumption by the Commonwealth of the financing functions of the commission, for transfer to the Department of Transportation and State Treasurer of land, buildings, personal property and employees of the commission, for the abolition of the commission and the offices of Turnpike Commissioner; and making an inconsistent repeal of various acts relating to the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

SR 14 - A Concurrent Resolution resolving that it is the intent of the Pennsylvania General Assembly to appropriate no additional funds for the construction of the North Shore Connector, the twin tunnels which are slated to be built under the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh.
